The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is placing sports at the heart of its development plans by encouraging sports activities and hosting important sports events and tournaments. Investments in Saudi sports infrastructure have increased over the years with the aim of transforming the Kingdom into a regional sports hub.

 

The Ministry of Sports has set a series of goals with the aim of achieving an athletic environment and a distinguished competitive sports field. One of them is enhancing the efficiency and quality of sport facilities & stadiums by improving sport facilities management and maintaining better environments, in addition to applying appropriate investment in sports and youth facilities.

 

Hosting in the last few years the most prestigious international sports events such as the Spanish and Italian Super Cups, the Dakar Rally, and the World Heavyweight Boxing championship, gives Saudi Arabia the opportunity to showcase the country’s pursuit of national development.
